An Automated External Defibrillator (AED) is used to rescue a person suffering from cardiac arrest. It’s an important tool to have on hand during practices and games if a child is not responsive, not breathing and does not have a pulse. Every 3 days, another young athlete in the United States dies from Sudden Cardiac Arrest.
We along with numerous friends are certified trainers in First Aid, CPR & AED usage - we have taught classes throughout Central, MA and most importantly have placed 50+ AED's (Automated External Defibrillator's) with:
John Ellsessar is a father who tragically lost 2 sons to heart related emergencies called “commotio cordis” a medical term to describe sudden cardiac arrest (SCA) from a blow to the chest. In both instances there was no Automated External Defibrillator (AED).
